How to Plan for a Weight Loss Regime
Who doesn’t love to have a body structure that fits well in any dress, and allow you to do any job without any difficulty or dependency? Each and every one of us loves to have such a body makeup. But in reality it is owned by very few of them. Reason is due to lack of strong determination, planning and ability to resist against certain food cravings. If you are obese and you have a strong will power to lose weight but unable to plan it properly, then here are some suggestions.
To lose weight you need to understand the two very simple things flawlessly. They should be what you want, like how many pounds you want to lose? What capabilities do you have to attain your goal? Answer for these two questions will guide you in the entire planning process. Have focus on your goal and stay motivated to avoid collapse. Be practical in your thoughts; don’t dream to have what others are having, though not impossible, but it would be very difficult, and will just increase the chances of you letting down.
Now, pen down the answers for the above questions and start planning your weight loss regime accordingly. Set goals within your reach and they should be attainable by you. Set both long term and short term goals. Short term goals are helpful to give it a start while long term goals keep you motivated. Keeping it short makes the process easy. For example, if your goal is to lose a total of 10 pounds it should be your long term goal. Don’t be too hasty to lose all those extra pounds all at once. Now think of your existing daily routine and how far you can change it to allot time for physical workouts and the extent you can change your dietary habits. Accordingly, set the time period for your long term goal, allow time for setbacks too. Now divide your long term goal in to short ones. How does it sound? Very simple, am I right?
Plan how to start the short term goals. Pick up a date out of your busy schedule and do not let anything come in between. Make sure that the timings you select for your regular exercises do not disturb your routine like going to school or office work, think of appropriate alternatives and then start to avoid breaks. Start with very simple exercises like walking, swimming or cycling. Do not strain yourself too much in the initial days. You will get tired and give up the task of losing weight. Regarding dietary habits do not even think of having what you hate, just to lose weight. Believe me; it won’t work as you will soon give it up. Start having small and nutritious meal. It will get the job done.
Once you are on move, essential requirement is to assess your progress. Make a note of your workouts, dietary habits and number of pounds lost. Now compare it with your goals. Check how far you have attained your goals. If you are lagging behind, think of a measure to make it up. If required, you can even alter your goals. Do not get disappointed. It is common to have setbacks. Stay motivated. If necessary, take the help of friends or family members. Take it step by step you are sure to accomplish the goal.
