Start your Day Right to Exercise and Lose Weight
Losing weight is something that many people aspire to do nowadays. It is not just a fad but even a necessity for millions of people around the world as they try to win the battle against the bulge. Being obese is a serious health risk and one cannot afford to be bulky and assume that it does not affect one’s health.
However, losing weight takes time and effort too. Many people start off with a lot of enthusiasm only to see their gusto and zest evaporate as boredom creeps in and the novelty wears off. Now, researchers are saying that if you want success in maintaining a weight loss program you have to start early in the day as that’s the best time in the day for any new activity. Some of the reasons that work well for exercising in the morning are as follows:
Consistency
Empirical studies show that people who exercise in the morning are more likely to keep at it and perpetuate the exercise regime. If one tries to exercise at varying times or whimsically, it’s quite likely that the exercising could get hampered especially during those times that the hurly burly of daily work, chores and routines come in the way.
Freshness
Exercising release endorphins or feel good hormones. If you exercise early in the day, you will feel good, energetic and rejuvenated the whole day long. You also feel happier and light hearted which gives you the incentive and motivation to repeat the exercise routine again the next day.
Hormones
The body’s endocrine system gets enough rest at night and is quite at its peak early morning. If you choose to exercise in the morning, you can optimize the benefits of the exercise. Additionally, your endocrine system also gets adjusted to the routine and helps you feel fit and fine. It seems as if your body gets attuned to the time you will start exercising and seems to get prepared for the same by regulating blood pressure, heart rate and blood circulation. This is indeed very beneficial to your overall health.
Mental activity levels
Exercising is extremely beneficial to enhance your mental faculty levels. The blood flow makes your mind more alert, agile and geared up after the exercise routine. It’s best that you exercise early in the morning so that the benefits are enjoyed throughout the day. That way you can start off with a positive and healthy frame of mind to meet the challenges of the day and emerge victorious and contented.
Appetite
Exercise is necessary for whetting up a healthy appetite. It is said that you should take breakfast like a king because a heavy and yet balanced breakfast is essential to provide the necessary nutrients and calories required for a day’s toil. If you exercise, you can build up a good appetite after which consumption of a hearty breakfast can get you ready for the day and raring to meet the challenges and obstacles that may come your way as part of your daily routine.
Exercising is always beneficial for weight loss. This has been proved conclusively. But when you exercise, it can really be instrumental in determining whether you can keep up and maintain your resolve to exercise consistently over the long term. Burning off calories to lose weight is a serious business. And if you play your cards right, you can well be on the way to seeing a fitter and slimmer you!
